Position Overview
We are looking for a Sample Collector (Probenehmer:in) to join DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH across Germany, preferably in Karlsruhe, Mannheim, Kaiserslautern, or Neustadt an der Weinstraße.
Primary Duties
- Conduct environmental measurements at traffic facilities, focusing on sampling mineral waste such as ballast, construction debris, or asphalt.
- Work nationwide in teams of two, using a company vehicle equipped with the necessary tools and instruments.
- Coordinate on-site with construction supervisors, security personnel, or clients to ensure samples are collected safely and correctly at stations or track areas.
- Prepare sampling and measurement reports, and assist in developing and reviewing contractual documents.
- Engage in installation-related tasks requiring long drives, sampling outside regular hours, multi-day on-site stays, and physically demanding lifting.
- Maintain and service sampling tools and equipment as part of routine responsibilities.
Candidate Profile
- Completed vocational training preferably in technical fields such as environmental protection technician assistant, professional driver, or mechatronics technician.
- Possess a valid driving license Class B.
- Hands-on practitioner with technical understanding who enjoys physically engaging work.
- Available to travel nationwide from Monday to Friday, including overnight stays; comfortable with night and weekend assignments.
- Enjoy teamwork and are motivated to constantly learn and develop.
