Role Overview
Are you enthusiastic about cloud engineering and eager to build and enhance a private on-premises Kubernetes cloud platform powered by more than 85,000 CPU cores, serving over 42 million users? Join our dynamic team responsible for one of the world's largest private Kubernetes clouds.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with colleagues to continuously expand and optimize the cloud infrastructure.
- Maintain and evolve the Kubernetes platform comprising 500+ cloud-native services to improve performance and reliability.
- Automate build and deployment pipelines with continuous integration methodologies.
- Create and extend Kubernetes operators, adding capabilities such as persistent storage, GPU support, and service mesh integration using Istio.
- Participate in open source projects and share responsibility within a rotating 24/7 on-call support team.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a degree in technical studies or equivalent training.
- Demonstrate strong experience with Kubernetes and Docker in highly scalable, high-traffic settings.
- Proficient in CI/CD practices, infrastructure-as-code, and related tooling.
- Solid command of Linux environments, with scripting expertise in BASH, Python, and/or Go.
- Deep familiarity with GIT workflows, including feature branches and merge/pull requests.
- Eager to acquire new knowledge and embraces a team-oriented mindset embodied by the motto "Together we are stronger."
- Excellent communication skills in English; German language skills are advantageous.
