About the Role

The Privacy and Security Technical Assurance Lead within the Risk, Compliance and Integrity (RCI) organization plays a pivotal role in managing compliance, assurance, risk, and governance to enable secure innovation. This role acts as a critical second line of defense by providing technical validation, oversight, and collaboration with product engineering and legal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain AI/ML and traditional security ecosystems assurance frameworks as part of the second line of defense.
  • Lead communication of AI security testing outcomes, control gaps, and remediation strategies to technical leaders, legal advisors, and executives.
  • Convert testing findings into practical engineering recommendations and work collaboratively with first-line research and product teams to refine privacy and security protections for Generative AI and machine learning systems.
  • Partner with Legal to assess AI privacy and security risk compliance in line with internal policies and global AI regulatory changes.
  • Develop and scale security assurance tools using scripting and custom automation to verify AI safeguard effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • At least 7 years' experience in cybersecurity, technical assurance, IT auditing, penetration testing, or second-line risk management roles.
  • Proven expertise in enterprise-wide technical project planning and cross-functional collaboration including legal, policy, or compliance partners.
  • Proficiency in designing and executing security control testing and risk assessment strategies for software, infrastructure, or AI/ML environments.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity-related regulations such as EU Digital Services Act, EU AI Act, NIS2, and DORA.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced studies in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, AI, or closely related disciplines.
  • Certifications including CISSP, CISA, CISM, AIGP, AAIA, ISO 27001/42001 Lead Auditor, or equivalent AI security and auditing credentials.
  • Experience within technology or large-scale tech industry environments managing complex distributed risk and infrastructure.
  • Expertise in compliance engineering, DevSecOps, or security automation, including development of custom automated evidence collection tools.
  • In-depth understanding of AI/ML vulnerabilities such as adversarial attacks, data extraction risks, and prompt injection threats.

Additional Information

Individual remuneration is based on skills, experience, and relevant education or training levels. The compensation for this position in Ireland ranges approximately from €112000 to €114000 annually, supplemented by a 15% bonus target, equity options, and additional benefits.
