Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior or Principal AI Architect to act as a trusted advisor and visionary leader for enterprise clients across various industries. This role involves steering AI initiatives end to end— from strategic planning and ideation to architecture, implementation, and scaling—ensuring AI solutions are scalable, trustworthy, and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with C-suite and senior technologists to develop AI transformation roadmaps and operational models for responsible, sustainable AI adoption.
• Lead design thinking workshops and innovation sessions to explore AI opportunities within client businesses.
• Architect target AI solutions addressing data, model lifecycle, agentic systems, and cloud-native platforms.
• Plan AI infrastructure covering data management, compute resources (GPU/TPU), observability, security, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resilience.
• Drive solution development across multiple industries including financial services, manufacturing, retail, telecom, and public sector, tailoring architecture to sector needs.
• Formulate frameworks for responsible AI governance, risk management, and compliance.
• Represent Infosys as a thought leader in conferences, advisory councils, and published works relating to enterprise AI architecture and innovation.
• Mentor architects and engineers on deploying AI technologies such as LLMs, multi-agent systems, and MLOps pipelines.

Required Skills and Experience

• Demonstrated senior experience as Enterprise or Principal Architect focusing on AI, cloud, or digital transformation.
• Expertise in multiple AI domains: generative AI, agentic systems, predictive analytics, and intelligent automation.
• In-depth knowledge of AI infrastructure components including GPUs, model serving, orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Ray, and observability tools such as MLflow.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP, and hybrid AI architectures.
• Understanding of enterprise governance, capacity planning, and FinOps for large-scale AI systems.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging both executive and technical audiences.
• Consulting or advisory background across at least three key industries.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, or related fields preferred; executive education in strategy or innovation is advantageous.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience with substantial achievements.
• Over 18 years in technology or solution architecture roles, including at least 3 years in AI-led transformation positions.
• Proficiency in English communication.
