About ADASI
ADASI is a prominent aerospace firm specializing in the development of cutting-edge UAVs, autonomous technologies, and aerospace systems. They seek a seasoned Flight Control Engineer to spearhead the design, development, and validation of flight control and guidance solutions for future aerial platforms.
Role Responsibilities
- Engineer and implement flight control and guidance mechanisms for UAVs and aerospace platforms.
- Create and refine control algorithms ensuring stability, performance, and safety standards are met.
- Build dynamic system models and simulations utilizing MATLAB/Simulink and comparable software tools.
- Conduct system verification through simulations, Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), as well as ground and flight testing.
- Diagnose system faults, perform fault analyses, and enhance the robustness and dependability of control systems.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams including avionics, software, mechanical, and systems engineering groups.
- Produce comprehensive technical documentation, test reports, and design materials adhering to aerospace industry standards.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations and certification protocols, supporting ongoing product enhancements.
- Oversee assigned engineering tasks, ensuring alignment with project deadlines and quality benchmarks.
Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Control Engineering, Systems Engineering or closely related fields; Master's degree is favored.
- Between 5 to 7+ years of relevant industry experience in flight control, guidance, or related control system engineering roles in aerospace.
- Proven expertise in developing control algorithms applicable to UAVs, aircraft, or autonomous systems.
- Strong command of MATLAB, Simulink, and programming languages including C/C++ and/or Python.
- In-depth knowledge of dynamic system modeling, control theory, and simulation methodologies.
- Experience in control system verification, validation, and testing, preferably including SIL/HIL and flight testing procedures.
- Understanding of aerospace standards such as DO-178C, DO-254, and ARP4754 is beneficial.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills complemented by strong communication and teamwork capabilities.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced engineering environment with meticulous attention to detail.
- Possession of relevant aerospace or control engineering certifications is an advantage.
