About the Role
Join WSP as a Principal Fluvial Geomorphologist where you will lead geomorphic and flood risk evaluations, along with offering expert design support within the Primary Industries group. This senior-level position involves providing authoritative technical guidance and project oversight, mentoring team members, and acting as a specialist and technical reviewer across the wider WSP enterprise.
This role centres on fluvial morphodynamics, demanding a blend of fieldwork and desktop expertise to support sustainable natural resource management. Integrated into the Rural Water team, you will contribute significantly to advancing sustainable working landscapes and managing rural catchments. The position requires strong abilities in GIS, advanced communication, numerical modelling, geoanalytics, and hydraulic or geomorphic design principles.
Candidate Profile
- Hold a postgraduate degree specializing in Physical Geography, Geomorphology, Hydraulic Engineering, Engineering Geology, Hydrology, or an allied discipline.
- Possess between 10 to 15 years of professional experience in practical geomorphic assessments and design activities.
- Demonstrate proficiency in hydraulic and/or landscape evolution modelling software.
- Exhibit robust skills and experience in field-based investigations.
- Maintain a valid and clean driver's license.
