Job description
About Analog Devices
Analog Devices, Inc. is a leading global semiconductor company (NASDAQ: ADI) that integrates analog, digital, AI, and software technologies to create innovative solutions impacting automation, robotics, healthcare, energy, mobility, and data centers, aiming to address climate change and enhance connectivity. In fiscal year 2025, the company recorded revenues exceeding $11 billion.
Role Overview
The Power Solutions group supports ADI in securing system-level power opportunities across varied sectors such as Healthcare, Instrumentation, Communications, Aerospace, and Defence by leveraging extensive portfolio capabilities, system expertise, application insights, and market understanding.
The principal engineer for segment marketing in Power Solutions will focus on shaping strategy for the Healthcare and/or Instrumentation sectors, prioritizing roadmaps, and translating customer needs into actionable business opportunities. This senior individual role demands strong technical knowledge, commercial acumen, autonomous work ethic, and ability to influence across functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop thorough knowledge of Healthcare and/or Instrumentation markets, including customer challenges, system architectures, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
- Convert these insights into defined segment strategies, investment plans, product roadmaps, platform concepts, and unique value propositions.
- Design system-level power architectures aligning customer requirements with ADI’s products, reference designs, software offerings, and support structures.
- Own comprehensive business cases for solution initiatives encompassing revenue forecasts, strategic alignment, customer validation, differentiation, and implementation needs.
- Collaborate closely with key customers, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), partners, and sales teams to validate needs, influence product architectures, and secure design wins.
- Establish lighthouse customers and reproducible use cases that highlight value propositions and underpin scalable revenue growth.
- Craft compelling positioning statements and sales narratives that translate technical features into clear value for customers and the business.
- Partner with marketing, product management, and sales for launch strategies, competitive positioning, customer materials, proof points, and enablement activities.
- Position ADI as a strategic partner in power system architectures rather than a mere component provider.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration by influencing product lines, application groups, systems engineering, sales, business development, operations, and executive stakeholders.
- Leverage market, customer, and competitive data to align priorities and drive execution.
- Operate autonomously with the judgment, communication skills, and organizational impact expected from a principal-level professional.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- At least eight years of experience in segment/product marketing, product management, applications, systems engineering, business development, or related technical-commercial roles within semiconductors, power electronics, or industrial systems.
- Strong expertise in power management, power conversion, system architectures, mixed-signal systems, or industrial electronics.
- Proven ability to translate market and customer insights into strategic plans, roadmaps, business cases, and go-to-market executions.
- Exceptional communication skills with customers, effective positioning, and demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related technical discipline is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the Healthcare or Instrumentation sectors.
- Advanced degrees such as a Master's, PhD, or an MBA are advantageous.
Additional Information
- International travel is expected approximately 10–15% of the time.
- Applicants not holding US citizenship, permanent residency, or protected status may undergo export licensing approval due to access to technical data.
