Role Overview

The Consumer Custom Silicon (CSS) team at Analog Devices focuses on pioneering highly differentiated sensing and signal processing technologies, including Capacitive Sensing, Optical Image Stabilization, Optical Sensing, and Power solutions that drive both portable and non-portable consumer markets. The team seeks a Principal Design Evaluation Engineer based in Limerick, Ireland, to contribute to measurement development and product evaluation in these domains.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Design, Design Evaluation, Applications, and Test teams to define necessary tests for new product assessment.
  • Create hardware and software evaluation tools for new product lines within the Design Evaluation team.
  • Perform comprehensive testing on new silicon products, analyze results thoroughly, document findings, and prepare detailed reports.
  • Diagnose functional and performance issues to root causes within silicon products.
  • Innovate new measurement methods and solutions to improve team measurement capabilities and accuracy.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Extensive experience of 15+ years in engineering measurement roles.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • Proficient in Python or comparable programming languages.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, teamwork, and leadership abilities.
  • Experience with PCB design and layout.
  • Valuable to have knowledge of power testing methodologies.
