About the Role
Oracle is looking for a Principal Site Selection Manager based in Singapore to lead the identification, planning, and execution of data center site projects across designated metropolitan areas and regions. Reporting to the Director of APAC Site Selection, this role involves close collaboration with teams such as Capacity Planning, Engineering, Data Hall Design, Construction, Delivery, Legal, Security, Networking, Compliance, and Operations throughout every phase of the transaction process. The candidate will also prepare and present regular updates for internal governance alongside key stakeholders. The ideal person will have strong capabilities in deal origination, full-cycle transaction management, stakeholder engagement, commercial negotiation, and disciplined execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate robust metro-area strategies and initiate opportunities aligned with business demands.
- Collaborate with capacity planners and network experts to determine capacity needs and site specifications for assigned locations.
- Oversee the complete deal lifecycle from demand initiation to general availability, ensuring alignment with essential business benchmarks.
- Manage multiple deals concurrently, coordinating internal teams, consultants, vendors, and external parties.
- Lead multifunctional teams in assessing, selecting, negotiating, and recommending leasing options for approval.
- Negotiate commercial contracts with providers alongside Corporate Procurement.
- Work with Finance on total cost of ownership analyses comparing lease versus build options and propose optimal strategies.
- Maintain accurate and reliable data records for executive reporting.
- Provide analytical reports and support daily team operations as required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Over five years of experience in industrial-scale site selection projects covering real estate evaluation, acquisition, development, leasing, and infrastructure delivery.
- Familiarity with the data center industry, including knowledge of market trends, competitors, and models like colocation leases and build-to-suit solutions.
- General expertise in land acquisition, real estate development, utility contracts, sustainable development, financial modeling, local laws, and permit requirements.
- Proven success in leading intricate negotiations and initiatives with a results-driven mindset.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities capable of handling complex, ambiguous challenges in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, integrating cross-functional input and driving contract negotiations and technical due diligence forward.
- Positive attitude, adaptability, and dependability to thrive in dynamic and unpredictable settings.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally when needed.
