Job description
Role Overview
Avara Foods is seeking dedicated Night Hygiene Operatives for their Hereford, Herefordshire location. This role involves maintaining high hygiene standards within the food production environment, reporting directly to the Team Leader, and adhering strictly to health, safety, and food safety protocols.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly wage of £13.67 plus a shift premium of £1.61

Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 21:00 to 05:00
- Friday: 17:00 to 01:00 (Includes £1.61 shift premium)
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve both individual and departmental hygiene and productivity targets
- Use materials and energy resources responsibly
- Contribute towards ongoing improvements in quality, safety, and productivity
- Handle plant and equipment manually as required
- Isolate machinery and plant safely when necessary
- Maintain housekeeping and hygiene both individually and collaboratively
- Comply with all food safety and Health and Safety Executive (HSE) regulations
- Follow instructions from Team Leader and management teams
Candidate Requirements
- Proficient English and basic numeracy skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well within a team
- Attention to detail and adaptability to varied tasks
- No prior experience necessary; full training will be provided
- Experience in production or manufacturing is advantageous but not essential
