Job Overview
As a key member collaborating with the sales team, the Presales Consultant delivers comprehensive technical assistance prior to sales and provides customized product demonstrations and qualification discussions to customers and prospects. This role plays a vital part in qualifying sales opportunities and nurturing existing ones through strategic questioning. The position also involves managing technical proof of concept activities, demonstrations, and presentations on designated products and solutions.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support Account and Product Managers by evaluating sales opportunities with presales technical expertise.
- Offer in-depth presales technical guidance and deliver detailed product demonstrations to clients and business partners.
- Conduct training sessions for partners regarding products and solutions.
- Assist in crafting and enhancing technical responses to RFPs and RFIs.
- Lead customer product demonstrations and presentations.
- Organize and oversee technical validation events such as Proof of Concept (POC) implementations.
- Manage POC assets effectively to ensure successful technical evaluations.
- Participate in relevant industry conferences, exhibitions, and shows when necessary.
- Influence and advise on market-related content and trends.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Comprehensive understanding of vendor products and networking technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS administration on UNIX systems, and hands-on experience with switches, routers, and firewalls within intranet and internet infrastructures.
- Strong foundation in network and security principles.
- Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills with the capability to clearly explain complex technologies.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues effectively.
- Self-driven, adaptable, and able to efficiently handle multiple tasks and unexpected requests.
- Clear communication skills, able to follow instructions precisely and seek clarification when needed.
- Empathy and awareness of others' needs, concerns, and perspectives.
- Ability to engage and collaborate with all levels of company management.
