Prepared Foods Dishwasher

Overview

This role involves comprehensive dishwashing duties as well as the upkeep of cleanliness within the kitchen environment. Team members are expected to represent the company positively by delivering courteous, friendly, and efficient service to both customers and colleagues. All tasks must be conducted adhering closely to established operating procedures, emphasizing compliance with food safety, health, and sanitation regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize dishes, cookware, cutlery, and small kitchen tools effectively.
• Ensure floors, mats, drains, walls, and shelves in the kitchen remain clean and orderly.
• Support kitchen inventory management by assisting with delivery reception, storage, organization, and inventory rotation.
• Report punctually, dressed appropriately, and prepared to perform assigned shifts and participate in training and meetings.
• Provide exceptional service, promptly address customer inquiries, and demonstrate suggestive selling techniques when interacting with customers.
• Enhance sales through proficient handling of product preparation, storage, rotation, stocking, and display activities.
• Adhere strictly to regulatory and company-based procedures including health and safety, sanitation, Weights and Measures standards, and general safe work practices.
• Maintain clean and safe kitchen and shopping spaces, following company guidelines for cleanliness and equipment upkeep.
• Execute opening, mid-shift, and closing tasks accurately, including sign and price verifications.
• Promptly report any safety risks or violations found in the workplace.
• Carry out additional duties assigned by store, regional, or national managers.

Experience and Qualifications

• No previous retail experience is required to apply.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Standing or walking for 6 to 8 hours during an 8-hour shift.
• Manual dexterity including grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
• Frequent movements such as bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
• Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning agents and varied temperature environments, including freezing and high heat.
• Work will involve conditions that are wet or dry.
• Flexible availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as requirements dictate.
• Use of various tools and equipment including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and potentially ladders.
