Prepared Foods Dishwasher

Role Overview

The Prepared Foods Dishwasher is responsible for all dishwashing duties and maintaining overall cleanliness in the kitchen environment. Every employee represents the company by delivering courteous and efficient service to customers and team members alike, adhering to established standards and safety regulations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Clean, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and small kitchen equipment.
• Keep floors, mats, drains, walls, and shelves in the kitchen area clean and orderly.
• Support kitchen deliveries by handling proper storage, organization, and rotation of items.
• Report punctually for shifts, maintain proper grooming and dress, and participate in trainings and meetings as required.
• Provide excellent customer service by promptly and politely responding to customer needs and phone inquiries; practice suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximize sales by correctly prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising products according to procedures.
• Comply with health, safety, sanitation, and weight and measure requirements; maintain safety in the working environment.
• Keep equipment and workspaces clean and safe per company standards.
• Perform assigned opening, mid-day, and closing duties, ensuring accuracy of signage and pricing.
• Immediately report any safety hazards or violations discovered during work.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership.

Experience

Previous retail experience is not required for applicants to be considered for this role.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Will spend 6–8 hours per 8-hour shift standing or walking.
• Requires hand use skills such as grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
• Job duties involve motions including bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
• Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals is expected.
• Work environment temperature ranges from below freezing (below 32°F) to above 90°F.
• Must be able to work in both wet and dry environments.
• Schedule flexibility needed to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Use of various tools and machinery such as knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and ladders may be required.

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly wages range from $18.00 to $25.40, depending on experience.
