Prepared Foods Dishwasher

Overview

This position involves dishwashing and supporting general cleanliness in the kitchen at Whole Foods Market. Team Members represent the company by offering courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and colleagues while adhering to store procedures and health and safety regulations.

Key Duties

• Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and small kitchenware.
• Keep the kitchen floors, mats, drains, walls, and shelves clean and organized.
• Help manage kitchen deliveries, ensuring proper storage, organization, and rotation of items.
• Arrive punctually, follow dress and grooming standards, complete scheduled shifts, and participate in required training and meetings.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly and politely to customer needs and communication inquiries.
• Support sales efforts through proper preparation, storage, rotation, stocking, and merchandising of products.
• Comply with weight and measurement standards, health and sanitation policies, and safe work practices.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work and shopping environment and ensure equipment cleanliness and safety.
• Perform assigned opening, mid, and closing tasks; verify accuracy of signage and pricing; immediately report safety hazards.
• Complete additional duties as assigned by store or regional leadership.

Experience

No previous retail experience is necessary to apply.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Stand or walk 6-8 hours during an 8-hour shift.
• Perform motions such as bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching; use hand functions including grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
• Use tools and equipment such as knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and ladders.
• Work in cold (below freezing and refrigerated), and hot environments (above 90°F), as well as wet and dry conditions.
• Handle exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals.
• Flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
