About The Role

This position involves performing all necessary dishwashing tasks and ensuring the kitchen area remains clean and sanitary. Team Members must consistently represent the company positively by delivering courteous, friendly, and efficient service to both customers and fellow staff. All tasks should be executed in alignment with the team's and store's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Additionally, incumbents should be ready and capable of undertaking responsibilities outlined in other team roles and support the company’s core values, goals, and various programs while adhering to health, safety, and food safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishware, pots, pans, utensils, and small kitchen equipment.
• Keep floors, mats, drains, walls, and shelves in the kitchen area clean.
• Assist with handling kitchen deliveries, including proper storage, organization, and rotation of supplies.
• Arrive punctually, maintain appropriate grooming and attire, work scheduled shifts, and attend mandatory trainings and meetings.
• Provide excellent customer service by promptly addressing customer needs and practicing suggestive selling techniques; handle phone calls and pages courteously.
• Enhance sales opportunities by properly prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising products.
• Adhere to all procedures including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation standards, and safe working practices.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary environment for work and shopping; ensure equipment meets cleanliness and safety standards.
• Perform assigned opening, mid, and closing duties; ensure signage and pricing accuracy.
• Immediately report any observed safety hazards or violations.
• Carry out any additional duties assigned by store, regional, or national management.

Experience

No prior retail experience is required for this role.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Standing or walking for six to eight hours a standard eight-hour shift.
• Use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
• Physical motions including bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
• Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals.
• Work environments with temperatures ranging from freezing (<32°F), refrigeration (32-40°F), to temperatures above 90°F.
• Ability to work in both wet and dry environments.
• Availability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Use of tools and machinery such as knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and possibly ladders.

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly pay ranges from $16.00 to $25.40 depending on experience. Full and part-time Team Members may be eligible for "Whole Benefits," including store discounts, paid time off, wellness programs, and other perks, which vary by location, tenure, and job type. New hires successful after their first 90 days may receive a base pay increase.
