Prepared Foods Dishwasher - Full Time

Position Overview

This role involves performing all dishwashing tasks and ensuring the kitchen area maintains a high standard of cleanliness. Key Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and small kitchen wares.
• Keep floors, mats, drains, walls, and shelves in the kitchen area clean and orderly.
• Help with kitchen deliveries including proper handling, organizing, and rotating of products.
• Be punctual, properly groomed and dressed, ready for scheduled shifts, trainings, and meetings.
• Deliver excellent customer service, respond promptly and courteously to customer needs and communications, including answering phones and pages.
• Enhance sales opportunities by following correct procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising products.
• Follow all established protocols including weight and measurement standards, health and sanitation policies, and safe work practices.
• Maintain a clean and safe working and shopping environment, ensuring equipment meets cleanliness and safety standards.
• Perform assigned opening, mid, and closing duties, verifying accuracy of signs and pricing.
• Report safety hazards and violations immediately.
• Carry out any additional duties assigned by store, regional, or national leadership.

Experience Requirements

No prior retail experience is necessary to qualify for this position.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Standing and walking between 6 to 8 hours per 8-hour workday.
• Use of hands for grasping, manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
• Frequent bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching motions.
• Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals.
• Working in temperature conditions ranging from freezing (<32°F) to refrigerator levels (32-40°F) and above 90°F.
• Capability to work in both wet and dry environments.
• Flexible availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Ability to use various tools and equipment such as knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, heavy machinery, and occasionally ladders.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly wage ranges from $16.00 to $25.40 based on experience. Whole Foods Market offers comprehensive benefits including store discounts, paid time off, financial health programs, and wellness support for eligible full and part-time employees. Eligibility and benefits may vary by location, tenure, and employment status. New team members who complete 90 days of employment in an eligible role may qualify for a base rate increase after 90 days.
