Job Overview

The Prepared Foods Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas. This position involves washing dishes, utensils, and kitchenware to ensure a hygienic environment within the Prepared Foods department. Team Members are also expected to support overall store operations by promoting company values, adhering to health and safety standards, and assisting with varied tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and small kitchen items.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, mats, drains, walls, and shelving.
• Help with kitchen deliveries by properly storing, organizing, and rotating merchandise.
• Arrive on time, dressed appropriately, work scheduled shifts, and attend required meetings and training sessions.
• Deliver courteous and timely customer service, including answering phones and assisting customers and team members.
• Follow correct procedures for prepping, stocking, rotating, and merchandising products to maximize sales.
• Comply with all standards for Weights and Measures, health regulations, sanitation protocols, and safe work practices.
• Ensure equipment and workspace meet cleanliness and safety standards.
• Perform opening, mid-day, and closing duties as assigned, including verifying signage and prices.
• Report any safety hazards or violations immediately.
• Undertake other tasks assigned by store leadership as needed.

Experience

No previous retail experience is required for this position.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Standing or walking for 6-8 hours during an 8-hour shift.
• Use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
• Perform physical motions such as bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
• Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals.
• Work in environments with temperatures ranging from freezing (<32°F) to hot (>90°F).
• Work in both wet and dry conditions.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Operation of tools and equipment such as knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and ladders where necessary.

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range for this role is $17.00 to $25.40 per hour, depending on experience.
