Job description
Role Overview
This position is for a Pre-Sales Solution Architect with a focus on Application Development, primarily using Java, located in Singapore or Malaysia. Candidates must have over five years of professional experience and be able to support clients across the ASEAN region. The role requires being comfortable with travel within ASEAN and entails participation in customer engagement, technical consulting, and solution design.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with sales teams and customers to analyze business needs and develop fitting application solution concepts.
- Architect scalable, secure, and robust application solutions deployed on AWS cloud infrastructure, including crafting proposals and financial models.
- Lead technical workshops, presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept initiatives with potential clients.
- Leverage expertise in Java development alongside modern frontend technologies to influence the solution designs.
- Integrate security and operational automation practices such as DevSecOps, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), and container orchestration into solutions.
- Document solutions comprehensively and facilitate a seamless transition to project delivery teams.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in designing AWS-based application solutions within a presales or client-facing technical consulting role.
- Advanced Java programming skills as a core capability with familiarization of current frontend frameworks.
- Understanding of the AWS ecosystem, including compute, storage, and networking components, with the ability to architect cloud-native applications.
- Working knowledge of DevSecOps methodologies, such as CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments.
- Strong communication skills to effectively articulate complex technical topics to diverse audiences.
- Hands-on experience with microservices, serverless computing, and infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
