Back End Developer

Overview

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend Python applications that handle IFC files processing. Your role includes implementing AI-enhanced pipelines for 3D building model verification, and carrying out code reviews, auditing, and refinement of AI-generated code. You will also deploy these applications on AWS using Infrastructure as Code techniques, along with establishing continuous integration and delivery pipelines using GitLab.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain Python backend services to receive and interpret IFC files.
• Create AI-driven development workflows focused on auditing and improving 3D building models.
• Refactor and audit AI-produced code to ensure quality and reliability.
• Deploy applications onto AWS cloud infrastructure using tools like Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitLab.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrable expertise in Python programming and database management using PostgreSQL.
• Experience or knowledge of AI-enabled development pipelines.
• Understanding of Amazon Web Services and Infrastructure as Code methodologies, particularly with Terraform.
• Practiced in DevOps standards and constructing CI/CD workflows, especially with GitLab.
• Basic knowledge of or eagerness to learn about Building Information Modeling concepts and IFC data standards.
• Familiarity with computational geometry concepts is advantageous.
