Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced PowerShell Automation Developer to design, create, and maintain automation solutions across multiple environments including Azure, Windows Server, VMware, and Data Center infrastructures. This role focuses on developing automation scripts, integrating with APIs, troubleshooting, and refining operational workflows.
Core Responsibilities
- Create advanced PowerShell scripts, modules, and automation sequences.
- Build automation use cases for platforms such as Azure, Windows Server, VMware, and Active Directory.
- Utilize PowerShell features like functions, loops, arrays, hash tables, objects, modules, and implement conditional logic.
- Incorporate exception handling by leveraging Try/Catch/Finally constructs.
- Develop robust logging, auditing, and debugging mechanisms.
- Integrate automation workflows with REST APIs, Microsoft Graph, Azure services, VMware tools, and ServiceNow.
- Engage in code reviews and adhere to established coding standards.
- Manage source code repositories through Git and implement DevOps methodologies.
- Produce technical documentation, including operational runbooks for automation processes.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues arising in production automation.
Required Skills and Experience
- Advanced expertise in PowerShell scripting including modules, remoting, try/catch exception handling, logging, debugging, and parallel processing techniques (runspaces).
- Familiarity with development and automation tools such as REST APIs, Git, Azure DevOps, and core concepts of CI/CD.
- Basic understanding of infrastructure components: Azure cloud platform, Windows Server, VMware virtualization, Active Directory services, and networking fundamentals.
Additional Skills
- Experience or exposure to Azure Automation.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow for IT service management processes.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes container orchestration technology.
