Role Overview
This hybrid position requires frequent presence at the Tralee office and occasional collaboration aligned with Americas Division working hours. The Power Platform Developer with React skills will contribute to SMBC’s Americas digital transformation, designing and building scalable business applications using Microsoft Power Platform coupled with modern front-end frameworks to elevate user experience and extend platform functionality.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Canvas and Model-driven PowerApps tailored to business process needs.
- Create reusable components in line with enterprise architecture guidelines.
- Conduct testing, debugging, and refinement of application code.
- Share knowledge and foster continual improvements within the team.
- Design high-performance, responsive user interfaces using React.js.
- Enhance Power Platform capabilities utilizing PowerApps Component Framework controls developed in React.
- Maintain UI/UX consistency following modern design practices.
- Integrate PowerApps with Dataverse, SharePoint, Databricks SQL Server, and external APIs.
- Build workflows and automations via Power Automate.
- Implement integrations using REST APIs, Azure services, and third-party platforms.
- Support event-driven and API-oriented architectures.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise standards, security frameworks, and policies.
- Participate in solution architecture discussions focusing on scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Assist in Application Lifecycle Management including version control, CI/CD pipelines, and environment administration.
- Collaborate with business users, architects, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Offer technical guidance on Power Platform and front-end development best practices.
- Support production issue resolution, system enhancements, and ongoing improvements.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Between 3 to 5 years of experience in application development.
- Proficient in Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, React.js, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience creating custom components using PowerApps Component Framework (PCF).
- Skilled in REST API integration and handling JSON data.
- Familiar with Azure services including App Services, Functions, and API Management.
- Knowledgeable about Power BI, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Dynamics, JavaScript, C#, and TypeScript.
- Understanding of application security, data governance, and working in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Preferred expertise includes Power Platform governance and environment strategy, TypeScript, Redux or modern front-end state management, DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub), CI/CD pipelines, regulated environment experience, and low-code/no-code platform extension strategies.
- Additional technical skills such as data modeling, Azure AD, Azure Storage, PowerShell, Azure DevOps, Logic Apps, Data Factory, Dataflows, and Power Apps Data Gateway are advantageous.
