Power BI Architect

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable Business Intelligence architectures. This role involves defining standards for data modeling, semantic layers, dashboards, and reporting to modernize BI strategies and foster self-service analytics within an enterprise setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and design scalable Power BI and enterprise-wide BI frameworks.
• Develop standards for data modelling, semantic layers, and reporting dashboards.
• Lead initiatives focused on BI modernization, analytics transformation, and the development of self-service analytics capabilities.
• Implement BI governance policies including security measures and access control frameworks.
• Leverage enterprise data platforms and cloud technologies to deploy scalable analytics solutions.
• Provide technical leadership on Power BI visualization and analytics projects.
• Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders to convert business needs into effective BI solutions.
• Mentor technical teams, participate in solution designs, conduct architecture reviews, and promote best practices.
• Integrate data from multiple sources including data warehouses, data lakes, and cloud platforms to deliver enterprise analytics.
• Support the adoption and integration of modern analytics technologies such as Microsoft Fabric and AI-powered analytics where relevant.

Required Skills and Expertise

• Extensive experience with Power BI including Power BI Service, DAX, Power Query, and advanced data modelling techniques.
• Strong background in enterprise BI and analytics architecture.
• Proficient understanding of SQL and data warehousing principles.
• Knowledge of BI governance standards and security protocols.
• Experience with cloud data platforms relevant to BI solutions.
• Expertise in data visualization and creation of executive level dashboards.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven history of leading enterprise-scale BI transformation projects.
