Role Summary

The Post Office Manager will oversee and facilitate comprehensive retail postal services including courier handling, postal boxes, money transfers, and parcel management at Shoppers Drug Mart. The role is key to maximizing both department revenue and customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead by example, ensuring Post Office staff embody the company CORE Values.
• Conduct interviews and recommend candidates for hiring to maintain team quality.
• Ensure compliance with store standards among Post Office cashiers.
• Train and provide continuous coaching and guidance to employees regarding job responsibilities.
• Assist in performance evaluations of cashier staff in collaboration with the Front Store Manager (FSM).
• Guarantee superior customer service that exceeds expectations.
• Maintain professional employee presentation aligned with Uniform Policy.
• Implement and oversee loss prevention procedures according to company standards.
• Ensure adherence to parcel check protocols to prevent losses.

Qualifications

• Ability to think independently and exercise sound judgment when resolving customer requests.
• Strong decision-making skills involving asking insightful questions leading to suitable solutions.
• Capability to proactively achieve tasks and goals set by management.
• Retail experience including cash handling expertise.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Working Conditions

Flexibility to work varied shifts including nights and weekends is required.
