About The Role
The University of Western Australia (UWA), ranked among the world's top 100 universities, is seeking an experienced Position Management Advisor to lead the establishment and governance of its position management function. This role is a full-time ongoing appointment focused on developing robust organisational structures and workforce data governance that supports accuracy, payroll compliance, and effective workforce planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee the University's position management framework to ensure its integrity and effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate organisational hierarchies and position establishment records.
- Create, implement, and refine position management processes and associated governance mechanisms.
- Ensure workforce data reliability, consistency, and readiness for audits.
- Collaborate with People & Culture, Payroll, Finance, and Schools to support organisational changes and strategic workforce planning.
- Provide expert guidance on organisational structure and position management.
- Identify and drive improvements in data quality, control measures, and process efficiencies.
Candidate Profile
- Strong inclination towards structuring processes and enhancing data integrity.
- Understanding of how accurate position management underpins payroll, compliance, and workforce planning.
- Demonstrated experience in position management, payroll, workforce administration, HR systems, or related fields.
- Exceptional attention to detail combined with strong analytical capabilities.
- Proficient in managing organisational structures and workforce data.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to engage and build relationships with varied stakeholders.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and practical solution delivery.
- Experience navigating complex organisational environments is highly advantageous.
Additional Information
- This role offers a base salary of up to $120,287 per annum (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.
- The appointment is full-time (1.0 FTE) and ongoing.
- Employment screening includes checks related to gender-based violence, sexual harassment, and related misconduct, with a current National Police Clearance required.
