Porter for Commercial Laundry Facility

Position Overview

This role involves upkeep and cleaning tasks within a commercial laundry environment. The position demands flexibility in work hours, adapting to various shifts as necessary.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties such as washing floors, restrooms, hallways, and other facility areas.
• Empty trash bins, sweep, dust, mop, scrub floors, vacuum carpets, and clean windows.
• Follow department-approved cleaning protocols and maintain all spaces in clean and orderly conditions.
• Manage yard equipment and maintain cleaning supplies inventory.
• Sanitize trash containers and dispose of waste properly.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment correctly and safely.
• Perform light cleaning tasks including dishware washing and window cleaning.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Skills

• Effective communication abilities.
• Adherence to safety guidelines and company procedures.
• Previous experience in commercial cleaning preferred.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Work is conducted in an industrial setting with variable temperatures and potential distracting noise.
• Standing for prolonged periods is required.
