About the Role
Join the team at Longford Forest's Subtropical Swimming Paradise as a Pool Assistant, playing a vital role alongside Lifeguards to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and well-managed environment for all guests. This position involves managing safety on signature rides such as Tropical Cyclone and Typhoon, along with supervising areas that do not have a dedicated lifeguard presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and oversee safety on iconic water rides including Tropical Cyclone and Typhoon
- Monitor and supervise non-lifeguarded zones needing support
- Deliver exceptional, friendly, and professional customer care
- Maintain cleanliness and enforce rigorous health and safety protocols
- Assist in managing various water-based activities
- Conduct regular water quality testing and sampling
- Successfully complete the Swimming Pool Emergency Rescue Award provided by the Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK)
Working Hours and Benefits
- Full-time and part-time options with shifts scheduled between 7:30 AM and 8:30 PM
- Guaranteed minimum working hours over four weeks, with potential additional hours as operational needs arise
- Work schedule includes early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
- Transport services available from Ballymahon and Longford Town for those without personal vehicles
- Premium pay for Sunday shifts
- €14.35 hourly wage

Candidate Profile
- Positive and cheerful disposition capable of engaging effectively with guests
- Maintains vigilance and composure in stressful situations
- Proficient swimmer able to swim 25 meters front and back, retrieve objects from the pool floor, and exit the water without assistance
- Required to pass Garda vetting prior to employment, with support provided during the process
