Opportunity Overview

The company seeks a PMO Analyst Consultant to bolster portfolio governance, oversee performance management, assure delivery, and guide architecture governance within strategic programs and projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in portfolio governance activities such as forums, stage gates, planning cycles, agenda setting, reporting, monitoring actions, and decision tracking.
• Develop portfolio dashboards and management reports focusing on delivery progress, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, resource allocation, and benefit realization.
• Manage portfolio RAID logs, track dependencies, and escalate significant risks and issues when necessary.
• Support portfolio resource and capacity planning while monitoring key resource constraints.
• Monitor benefits including owners, targets, and progress towards realization.
• Detect delivery deviations and aid in formulating recovery plans, corrective measures, and escalate concerns as needed.
• Maintain PMO governance standards, including processes, templates, and documentation.
• Facilitate Design Authority and Architecture Governance meetings by handling submissions, agenda preparations, decisions documentation, action follow-up, and minute-taking.
• Coordinate architecture checkpoints to ensure completion of required reviews, approvals, and documentation of architecture artifacts.
• Keep records of architecture decisions and monitor exceptions, waivers, compliance, and remediation activities.
• Ensure adherence to architecture principles, standards, policies, and target-state architectures.
• Report and track technical debt including its impact, accountability, remediation plans, and schedules.
• Support integration assurance by tracking interfaces, dependencies, potential risks, issues, and impacts across systems.
• Incorporate architecture governance and assurance status into regular portfolio reports.
• Effectively communicate portfolio and architecture challenges to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvements in PMO, governance, and assurance procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Proven experience in roles such as PMO Analyst, PMO Consultant, Project Analyst, Program Analyst, or Portfolio Analyst.
• Strong knowledge of project, program, portfolio management, governance frameworks, and stage-gate methodologies.
• Expertise in portfolio reporting, dashboard creation, and managing RAID logs encompassing risks, issues, dependencies, actions, and recovery planning.
• Experience in resource planning, benefits tracking, and overall portfolio performance oversight.
• Excellent analytical, reporting, documentation, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Solid understanding of Enterprise and Solution Architecture, technology governance, and architecture assurance practices.
• Experience facilitating architecture reviews, checkpoints, decision-making, management of exceptions, and compliance operations.
• Familiarity with managing technical debt, system integration concepts, APIs, interfaces, and associated dependencies.
• Knowledge of PMO tools including Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Power BI, ServiceNow, Clarity, Planview, or their equivalents is advantageous.
• Strong command of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI is a plus.
• Awareness of delivery methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid approaches.
• Capability to multitask effectively and coordinate among cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications like PMP, PRINCE2, P3O, ITIL, TOGAF or similar credentials provide additional advantage.
• Experience within financial services, banking, insurance, or other regulated sectors is highly beneficial.
