L2 DevOps Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced L2 DevOps Engineer to ensure the stability, availability, and optimal performance of enterprise banking platforms. The position focuses on operational support, environment management, automation, and efficient incident resolution across both production and non-production setups.

Key Responsibilities

• Offer Level 2 DevOps operational assistance for banking applications in development, testing, UAT, and production stages.
• Continuously monitor system health, infrastructure, and application metrics to detect and address potential issues ahead of any business disruption.
• Troubleshoot and resolve deployment, environment, pipeline, and infrastructure problems that exceed Level 1 support capabilities.
• Maintain and support continuous integration and delivery pipelines, automation tools, and platform configurations.
• Manage containerized environments and cloud platforms including Docker, Kubernetes, as well as Azure or AWS.
• Conduct thorough root cause analysis for recurrent incidents and assist in implementing permanent corrective measures.
• Coordinate with development and QA teams during application deployments, urgent fixes, and configuration updates.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, regulatory standards, and requirements relevant to Saudi Arabian banking sector clients.
• Keep operational documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures up to date.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response efforts as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Between 5 to 10 years’ experience in DevOps, platform, or infrastructure support roles.
• Proficiency with CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and GitLab CI.
• Strong hands-on familiarity with OpenShift.
• Expertise in Linux/Unix operating systems and scripting languages including Bash and PowerShell.
• Experience working with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of cloud services on Azure and/or AWS.
• Understanding of ITIL methodologies related to operations, incident management, and problem resolution.
• Proven track record supporting production environments with high availability and stringent service level agreements.
• Excellent troubleshooting capabilities alongside strong communication and teamwork skills.
