About the Role
Join HCL Technologies as a Playwright Automation Test Engineer where you will leverage your expertise in Playwright, TypeScript, and JavaScript to design and maintain automated testing frameworks that ensure the delivery of top-quality software products. This position is full-time based in Bangalore or Chennai, focused on web application testing within Agile teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, develop, and upkeep automated test scripts particularly using the Playwright framework.
- Construct scalable and reusable automation frameworks utilizing TypeScript and JavaScript.
- Design and execute comprehensive test scenarios including functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Work collaboratively with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to gather requirements and ensure software meets expected standards.
- Integrate automated testing workflows into CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality validation.
- Analyze test results to detect defects and jointly resolve issues with the development team promptly.
- Ensure adherence to testing best practices, quality benchmarks, and maintain thorough test coverage across development cycles.
- Participate actively in sprint planning, code reviews, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Compile and maintain detailed test documentation, performance reports, and related metrics.
Candidate Profile
- 5 to 10 years' experience in software testing and test automation.
- Expertise with Playwright Automation Framework.
- Proficient in both TypeScript and JavaScript programming languages.
- Experience in UI and web application testing.
- Solid understanding and hands-on experience in designing automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with Git version control systems.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Comfort working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

Compensation
This role offers a salary range between 550000 and 1500000 INR per annum.
