About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned Platform/Product Developer to lead the vision, strategic direction, and roadmap for HashiCorp Vault deployment within our enterprise. This role is integral in shaping the enterprise vault operating model and defining business and security applications in multiple technical environments. The candidate will act as the subject matter expert and interface with various stakeholders to maximize risk mitigation and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the overall product vision, strategy, and roadmap for HashiCorp Vault.
- Establish the enterprise vault operating model, define capabilities, and develop the service catalogue.
- Identify and analyze business and security use cases across applications, infrastructure, cloud, and networks.
- Prioritize initiatives based on business risk, security needs, operational value, and enterprise demands.
- Create and manage a multi-year HashiCorp Vault adoption and maturity roadmap.
- Serve as the primary product/capability owner and expert on vault-related projects and technologies.
- Coordinate and maintain relationships with HashiCorp Vault and technology partners.
- Oversee licensing arrangements, usage, and commercial optimization related to Vault.
- Monitor enterprise feature requirements relative to current licensing agreements.
- Lead vendor roadmap discussions, evaluate products, and facilitate technical workshops.
- Discover opportunities for cost efficiency on platform expenditures.
- Engage with senior leadership across cybersecurity and other business sectors.
- Develop and report key performance indicators, adoption metrics, risk mitigation benefits, and operational improvements.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Extensive proven experience working directly with HashiCorp Vault.
- Demonstrated history as a product owner, service owner, or technical product manager.
- In-depth understanding of enterprise security frameworks and operational dynamics.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication capabilities.
Desirable Additional Skills
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and administration.
- Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and tooling.
- Understanding of compliance standards and regulatory requirements around data security.
Educational Background and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related disciplines.
- 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in product management or technical roles.
- Certifications such as AWS, Azure, or ITIL are advantageous but not mandatory.
