Platform Engineer

About the Role

We are collaborating with a rapidly expanding software company located in Berlin, seeking a skilled Platform Engineer to enhance and develop its internal engineering platform. This role offers the chance to build foundational platform systems, elevate developer experience, and engage deeply with cloud infrastructure, automation, and container orchestration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, manage, and optimize cloud infrastructure primarily on AWS.
• Construct and operate containerized platforms using Kubernetes.
• Develop and refine continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code tools, preferably Terraform, to automate setups.
• Work extensively with Docker and containerization technologies.
• Implement cloud security, networking strategies, and adhere to infrastructure best practices.
• Create internal tools and platforms that streamline developer workflows and accelerate shipping.
• Handle monitoring, observability, reliability, and performance enhancements.

Candidate Profile

• Possess multiple years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or site reliability engineering.
• Demonstrate practical expertise with AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD environments.
• Driven by building innovative solutions rather than maintenance-focused tasks.
• Exhibit ownership in architectural decision-making and platform scaling as the engineering team grows.
• Reside in Berlin or be willing to commute to the office.
