Platform Engineer

Job Purpose

The role involves designing and advancing scalable, secure, and robust technology platforms to empower engineering teams to efficiently develop, deploy, operate, and oversee enterprise-grade applications and digital services.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and develop scalable platform solutions with strong engineering principles.
• Establish and maintain platform engineering standards, best practices, and design patterns.
• Enhance infrastructure automation with modern Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies.
• Create and refine CI/CD systems, deployment pipelines, and tooling for developers.
• Lead efforts in containerization, orchestration, cloud adoption, and automation of platform operations.
• Ensure the platforms' security, resilience, uptime, scalability, and performance metrics are met.
• Handle complex platform and infrastructure technical problem-solving and resolution.
• Build self-service platform features aimed at boosting developer efficiency.
• Assess existing platform technologies and suggest enhancements and modernization efforts.
• Provide senior-level technical advice and mentoring to engineering staff.
• Work collaboratively across teams including architecture, cybersecurity, cloud, site reliability engineering, and application development.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least a Bachelor's degree.
• A Master's degree is advantageous.
• Relevant professional certifications are valued.
