Role Overview
The Platform Engineer will be tasked with maintaining and enhancing a production-grade platform built on AWS and Kubernetes environments. Responsibilities will include modernizing infrastructure for heightened reliability, overseeing infrastructure projects from conception to deployment, and collaborating closely with development teams to support new functionalities and platform advancements. Participation in the infrastructure team's on-call rotation is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and enhance the production platform deployed on AWS and Kubernetes.
- Drive modernization efforts targeting infrastructure robustness and dependability.
- Execute infrastructure initiatives aligned with company growth objectives from planning through execution.
- Work jointly with software engineers to facilitate feature deployment and platform optimizations.
- Engage in an on-call system to address infrastructure issues promptly.
Candidate Requirements
- Hands-on experience managing production cloud environments, especially AWS and Kubernetes clusters.
- Skilled in Infrastructure as Code principles with tools such as Terraform.
- Knowledgeable about Helm package manager and container orchestration.
- Proficient with monitoring and observability frameworks to maintain system health.
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities for addressing production incidents effectively.
- Collaborative approach with experience using Git in team-based development workflows.
