Platform Architect

Role Overview

This strategic Platform Architect position is embedded within a high-performing technology team for a leading global IT consulting company. The role focuses on delivering modern platform services across complex managed environments with a significant degree of autonomy to influence technical direction and collaborate with senior stakeholders to define next-generation enterprise platforms.

Key Responsibilities and Experience

• Lead architectural design and strategy for enterprise platforms integrating cloud and on-premises systems.
• Drive platform development initiatives focusing on Kubernetes, with a preference for candidates experienced in OpenShift.
• Apply expertise in resilience, disaster recovery protocols, and business continuity planning to ensure robust platform stability.
• Operate effectively in large-scale Managed Services or enterprise environments, fostering collaboration across technical and business teams.
• Engage with Agile methodologies to support flexible and iterative delivery cycles.
• Communicate clearly to both technical teams and senior stakeholders to align strategies and implementation efforts.

Qualifications and Additional Expertise

• Previous experience as a Platform or Infrastructure Architect, emphasizing Kubernetes platform design.
• Solid knowledge of cloud infrastructure, networking, and current cybersecurity standards.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as ISO 22301, NIST, ITIL or certifications like TOGAF, CISSP, or CBCP is beneficial but not mandatory.

Benefits and Remuneration

• Competitive salary package up to £110,000 annually plus bonus and excellent benefits.
