Platform Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Platform Engineer with extensive experience in CI/CD, cloud technologies, and platform engineering within enterprise settings. This role demands strong skills in Python automation, cloud infrastructure, containerization, and a solid understanding of AI/LLM integration in production environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and share solutions by developing working code, deployable pipelines, intelligent agents, and reusable platform components.
• Apply systems thinking to assess impacts of cloud infrastructure, identity management, containerization, and automation decisions.
• Navigate ambiguity effectively, accurately identify problems to avoid solving incorrect issues.
• Advocate for automation, reliability, security, IAM principles, and simplicity in operations, backed by solid evidence.
• Quickly learn, deliberately experiment, and know appropriate timing for production deployment.
• Ensure secure default configurations, clear ownership responsibilities, and superior developer experience to enhance platform adoption.

Essential Skills and Experience

• 3 to 5+ years of practical CI/CD, cloud, and platform engineering experience in enterprise environments.
• Advanced proficiency in Python for automation tasks, API integrations, infrastructure tooling, agent services, and production scripting.
• Experience with at least one additional language ecosystem such as Java, .NET, Groovy, or Node.js.
• Hands-on AWS experience managing or architecting production workloads.
• Deep understanding of AWS IAM concepts including roles, policies, trust relationships, cross-account access, least privilege, and service-to-service authentication.
• Production experience with Docker containerization and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, Amazon ECS, or Amazon EKS.
• Background in building or integrating AI or large language model-based tools or agents in production or near-production setups.
• Strong grasp of LLMOps principles covering prompt management, tool utilization, agent design, evaluation, monitoring, and reliability.
• Experience managing Git-based workflows, automating builds, and handling release pipelines at scale.
• Competence with Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, and deployments following cloud-native best practices.
• A DevSecOps perspective where security is integrated by design rather than treated as a check-box task.

Bonus Skills

• Experience with AWS services like EKS, ECS, ECR, Lambda, Bedrock, CloudWatch, S3, Secrets Manager, Systems Manager, and VPC configurations.
• Exposure to infrastructure provisioning tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
• Ability to architect multi-account AWS environments and define enterprise identity and access management strategies.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes operations including Helm charts, service accounts, ingress controllers, networking, and securing workloads.
• Experience integrating AI functionalities into developer platforms or enterprise tooling beyond standalone applications.
• Previous work on agent orchestration frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or bespoke toolchains.
• Track record of enabling DevOps practices across multiple teams or business units.
• Experience working in Agile delivery contexts using Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe methodologies.
