Position Summary

This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee the Wiri plant as the Plant Manager, managing overall site performance by leading a diverse, multi-disciplinary team. The position demands driving operational excellence in areas including safety, personnel, production, quality, cost management, and customer service. The successful candidate will foster a high-performance culture and support Visy's growth in the beverage can market.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development and management of a high-performing site leadership and operations team.
• Promote and enforce a safety-first culture with full adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Ensure production output, quality, and customer service meet demand and expectations.
• Take ownership of the financial aspects of the site, including cost control, productivity improvements, and margin goals.
• Optimize plant availability, reliability, and asset utilization.
• Drive continuous improvement programs and Lean methodologies across all operations.
• Collaborate closely with Sales and Supply Chain teams to meet customer requirements effectively.
• Prepare and present clear performance metrics, forecasts, and operational reports to stakeholders.
• Build workforce capability, enhance engagement, and promote accountability.
• Engage actively with customers and participate in commercial activities.

Candidate Profile

• Extensive experience as a Plant Manager or senior leader in manufacturing operations.
• Strong expertise in managing high-volume production environments.
• Proven ability to lead large, cross-functional teams.
• Commercially savvy with a track record of managing costs and performance outcomes.
• Demonstrated leadership in safety management and compliance.
• Experience driving continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
