Job description

About Jacobs and the Opportunity

Jacobs is committed to shaping the future by addressing critical global challenges including urban development, environmental resilience, mission-critical operations, scientific innovation, and advanced manufacturing. We transform visionary concepts into real-world solutions that have lasting impact.

We are looking for a BIM Manager to join our team on a major water infrastructure project at NEOM. This role involves leading BIM and digital engineering efforts during the project’s final stages and closeout, ensuring the integrity and delivery of digital assets that accurately represent the completed work.

Role Responsibilities

  • Direct BIM and digital engineering operations related to project completion, handover, and close-out processes.
  • Maintain and manage federated BIM models to accurately depict as-built conditions throughout the project.
  • Oversee the creation, review, and approval of Civil 3D models, utility networks, corridors, pipe systems, and related infrastructure outputs.
  • Collaborate with engineering, construction, GIS, survey, and commissioning teams to synchronize model updates with completed construction work.
  • Ensure that all BIM deliverables comply with project standards, client expectations, and proper information management protocols.
  • Lead the preparation and delivery of digital handover packages including BIM models, asset information, geospatial data, and as-built documentation.
  • Develop and apply quality assurance processes to validate model accuracy, data integrity, and completeness of information.
  • Manage Common Data Environment workflows, document control, and governance of digital project information.
  • Coordinate BIM clash detection reviews, constructability assessments, and resolve model-related issues during closeout where necessary.
  • Support operational readiness by ensuring comprehensive asset information is accurately delivered for ongoing operations and maintenance.

Candidate Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in BIM, digital engineering, or design coordination on major infrastructure, water, utility, transportation, or civil projects.
  • In-depth technical expertise in BIM delivery processes, information management, model coordination, as-built documentation, and digital handover.
  • Proven track record delivering BIM on large-scale infrastructure, including water, utilities, pipelines, roads, and civil works.
  • Advanced skills with Autodesk Civil 3D, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Revit, BIM Collaborate Pro, and Common Data Environment platforms; GIS and asset information system experience highly valued.
  • Experience supporting project delivery, contractor oversight, digital compliance, handover procedures, change management, risk mitigation, and multidisciplinary coordination.
  • Strong leadership qualities, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to drive digital delivery collaboratively across teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, BIM Management, Geomatics, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Preferred prior involvement in major water or utility infrastructure projects within the Middle East, familiarity with BIM standards, ISO 19650 frameworks, and asset information management.
