Job description
Role Overview
As a Planning & Coordination Officer at The Polyolefin Company (Singapore) Pte Ltd, you will be instrumental in supporting the company’s planning, reporting, and coordination endeavors. Your responsibilities will include preparing financial forecasts, management reports, Board presentations, and maintaining supply and pricing data. You will also lead cross-departmental initiatives to ensure efficient business operations and compliance, while collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop monthly and annual profit and loss forecasts, budgets, and variance reports to assist management decisions.
- Facilitate budgeting, forecasting, and overall business planning throughout the organization.
- Create and coordinate monthly and yearly management reports.
- Gather, analyze, and maintain historical financial and business data for planning and reporting purposes.
- Coordinate the composition of Board papers and materials for executive presentations.
- Oversee strategic supply and pricing information to align with operational needs and cost management.
- Engage with internal teams, government bodies, and external partners regarding planning and coordination issues.
- Handle additional planning and coordination tasks as required.
- Identify and implement process improvements, harnessing AI and digital tools where beneficial.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possession of a recognized degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Accountancy, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of pertinent experience in planning, financial analysis, management reporting, business coordination, or similar roles.
- Demonstrated strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency in report writing and delivering presentations.
- Meticulous attention to detail ensuring accuracy.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities while meeting tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective cross-department collaboration.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems is a plus.
