Role Summary

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated Planner to join our Commercial Department. This role demands a highly organised person who excels in teamwork and can efficiently coordinate with our commercial, production, and quality teams. The Planner's key responsibility is to consolidate market needs into a short to medium-term demand plan. The position is office-based in Somerset West and reports directly to the Planning Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and update a dynamic demand plan leveraging inputs from sales, quality, and production departments.
• Draft and oversee packing instructions to guarantee stock is replenished promptly, supporting the sales team’s needs.
• Regularly assess market supply and demand trends to optimize sales potential across various markets.
• Work in close partnership with production units to adjust and carry out packing guidelines in response to shifting market circumstances.
• Track market and industry developments, offering actionable insights to aid commercial decisions.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a tertiary qualification in Marketing, Logistics, or a related discipline.
• Have 3 to 5 years of pertinent experience, ideally within the fruit industry.
• Exemplify strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to collaborate effectively at all organisational levels.
• Demonstrate proficient written and oral communication abilities.
• Showcase robust analytical skills.
• Possess advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
