Job description

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Project Planner to manage comprehensive scheduling for construction projects, specifically focused on data centre sites in Ireland and the UK. This role entails the oversight of project timelines during pre-construction, design, procurement, fabrication, and installation phases. You will collaborate closely with Project Directors, Managers, and subcontractors to create, update, and report on project plans ensuring smooth progress.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using tools like Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject, or Microsoft Project, tracking weekly milestones and critical path tasks.
  • Perform weekly company-wide resource assessments to identify gaps, producing corresponding analysis reports.
  • Conduct regular schedule reviews to detect constraints or potential delays, applying proactive measures to mitigate risks.
  • Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to align material deliveries and lead junior scheduling staff for effective program execution.
  • Monitor schedule metrics including variance and forecasting and communicate updates during progress and risk review meetings.

Requirements

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or an allied discipline.
  • Have at least five years of focused experience in construction project planning and programming.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in scheduling software such as Asta Powerproject, Primavera P6, or Microsoft Project.
  • Exhibit strong knowledge in construction sequencing, analytical problem-solving, and leadership across multiple teams.
  • Holding PMP or PSP certification is advantageous.
