Overview

European Medical Center (EMC) in Jeddah is expanding its Physiotherapy and Performance Department at the new King's Road location. They seek a skilled Physiotherapist to join a high-volume team managing diverse patient cases including musculoskeletal, post-surgical, spinal, and sports rehabilitation. Collaboration is integral with sports physicians, exercise physiologists, and a clinical dietitian within a well-equipped regional facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed physiotherapeutic assessments to set baseline measurements and define quantifiable treatment objectives.
• Implement tailored treatment plans utilizing manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and all available physiotherapy modalities.
• Instruct, prescribe, and update home exercise routines, ensuring ongoing patient education throughout treatment.
• Conduct patient re-evaluations at scheduled intervals with validated outcome tools and adjust therapies accordingly.
• Oversee post-surgical rehabilitation and return-to-play protocols with progression benchmarks and clearance tests.
• Maintain precise and timely records in electronic medical systems for each patient session.
• Prepare detailed progress documentation for referring physicians and insurance providers justifying treatment continuations.
• Identify critical warning signs, adhere strictly to scope of practice, and make timely referrals as necessary.
• Comply with SCFHS guidelines, EMC clinical governance, and infection control standards.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including sports physicians, exercise physiologists, and dietitians.
• Participate in decision-making for return-to-play clearances and criteria-based evaluations.
• Contribute actively to educational outreach, patient informational materials, and awareness campaigns.
• Assist in service enhancement, protocol formulation, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy or an equivalent qualification.
• Current SCFHS registration and classification as a Physiotherapist.
• Minimum of five years clinical experience post-qualification, including independent case management.
• Certification in basic life support is mandatory.
• Proficiency in Arabic and English languages.
• Additional qualifications such as a Master's or postgraduate credentials in musculoskeletal, sports, or manual therapy are advantageous.
• Experience with advanced modalities like shockwave therapy, spinal decompression, laser therapy, or Tecar treatment is favorable.
• Familiarity with objective assessment devices including force plates, isokinetic dynamometry, or timing gates is a plus.
• Experience collaborating with athletes, sports clubs, or related organizations is preferred.
• Knowledge of electronic medical records and insurance documentation processes is beneficial.

Working Conditions

• Work schedule consists of 48 hours per week with potential coverage responsibilities at other EMC branches.
• Primarily outpatient setting with high patient turnover, occasional on-site engagements for club or corporate contracts.
