Lead Physiotherapist

We are currently seeking an experienced and personable Lead Physiotherapist to join our Palmerston North team. This role offers an exciting mix of clinical practice and leadership responsibilities, including managing your own diverse caseload and mentoring a small group of physiotherapists to advance their skills and confidence.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Clinical and Service Leads to ensure delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care.
• Manage a varied clinical caseload comprising musculoskeletal, vestibular, concussion, and persistent pain cases.
• Support the operation and advancement of pain and concussion rehabilitation services.
• Promote clinical excellence through leadership, innovative practices, and incorporating client feedback.
• Provide structured clinical supervision, coaching, and mentoring to junior physiotherapists.
• Encourage a positive and collaborative team culture that prioritizes learning and professional development.
• Function independently while contributing to broader service and regional goals.

Candidate Profile

• Current registration as a Physiotherapist in New Zealand with a valid APC.
• Preferably at least five years of clinical physiotherapy experience.
• Proven expertise in musculoskeletal, vestibular, concussion, and persistent pain rehabilitation.
• Experience in delivering and managing comprehensive pain and/or concussion rehabilitation programs is highly valued.
• Strong enthusiasm for leading and mentoring other physiotherapists to enhance their clinical competencies and confidence.
• Ability to handle a complex and varied caseload while maintaining exceptional clinical standards.
• Possession of a valid New Zealand Driver Licence to facilitate community rehabilitation.
• Excellent communication skills paired with a warm, engaging, and collaborative working style.
