Role Overview
We are seeking a full-time Physics Teacher to instruct middle and/or high school students on site in Umm Al Quwain. The successful candidate will prepare and deliver engaging, standards-aligned physics lessons incorporating core concepts and relevant mathematics. The role involves using practical experiments and demonstrations to reinforce learning, assessing student performance through assignments, projects, and exams, and providing constructive feedback. Additional responsibilities include classroom management, working collaboratively with colleagues on curriculum development, participating in school events and communicating with parents, and fostering a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Expert knowledge of Physics and its pedagogy.
- Proven ability to plan and deliver lessons consistent with the American curriculum.
- Competence in integrating mathematics into physics instruction and problem-solving.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Physics, Science Education, or a related field.
- Prior teaching experience in a classroom setting, preferably within international or American curriculum schools.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Capable of safely and effectively using educational technology and laboratory equipment.
- Dedication to inclusive, student-centered teaching and ongoing professional development.
Minimum education
Bachelor's Degree
