Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Physical Design Engineer to contribute to the block-level physical design of advanced AI chips, overseeing the process from netlist to final GDS output for tapeout.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct block-level physical design of large-scale artificial intelligence semiconductor chips, managing the entire flow from netlist to GDS file generation for tapeout.
- Perform optimization focused on critical factors such as timing performance, power consumption, and chip area efficiency.
- Handle comprehensive backend analyses, including timing assessment, power metrics, power integrity, and signal integrity evaluations.
- Ensure compliance through physical verification tasks like Design Rule Checking (DRC), Layout Versus Schematic (LVS) checks, Electrical Rule Checking (ERC), and latchup analysis.
Candidate Qualifications
- Possession of a bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related disciplines.
- Strong understanding of digital integrated circuit timing analysis and physical layout principles.
- Familiarity with the digital IC backend design flow is essential.
- Prior experience in IC backend design is considered advantageous.
