Photo Specialist

About the Role

This position is dedicated to providing an exceptional and engaging customer experience by delivering expert photography services, including digital passport photos, and assisting with customer transactions such as FedEx, Western Union, and online order fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist customers warmly at the photo counter, understanding their unique needs to tailor products and services accordingly, while addressing any issues for a smooth experience.
• Demonstrate and encourage customer-focused behaviors among team members, emphasizing friendly greetings, eye contact, and courteous support throughout every customer interaction.
• Offer courteous, accurate, and efficient services including photography and related product promotions.
• Recommend additional products and upgrades to fulfill customer needs and boost sales.
• Process all customer transactions meticulously, including purchases, returns, and refunds, following proper cash handling standards.
• Manage inventory, supplies, and organization of the photo department, keeping stock aligned with forecasted needs and maintaining relevant records.
• Handle processing and fulfillment of photo-related and online order pickups, ensuring timely and precise delivery.
• Provide assistance for auxiliary service offerings such as FedEx and Western Union, complying with policies and procedures.
• Maintain and troubleshoot photo equipment and utilize store technologies to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Keep the photo area clean, organized, and appealing, supporting merchandising efforts and store standards.
• Assist with merchandising tasks for photo and adjacent departments, including seasonal displays, inventory adjustments, and resets.
• Help train and support other team members in photo department functions to ensure coverage during absences.
• Adhere to company policies, safety, and regulatory requirements to promote a safe and secure environment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to sustain positive team dynamics and fulfill additional tasks as needed.

Training and Development

• Participate in training sessions and complete required e-learning assignments as directed by management or corporate.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English—reading, writing, and speaking (except for Puerto Rico).
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Preferred candidates will have at least six months of retail experience and previous employment with Walgreens is a plus.

Compensation varies by location, skill set, education, and other factors, with an hourly wage range of $16 to $18.
