Job Overview

The Photo Specialist role focuses on delivering exceptional customer interactions by offering expert photo services, including digital passport photos, and facilitating various customer service transactions such as FedEx, Western Union, and online order fulfillment. The role demands managing the photo department's inventory and operational readiness, ensuring product availability, supporting merchandising tasks, and maintaining a welcoming and safe environment to meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Warmly engage customers at the photo counter by proactively identifying their needs and providing customized services and product recommendations.
• Model exemplary customer service behaviors, such as greeting customers with courtesy, maintaining eye contact, and following up to resolve concerns to ensure high satisfaction.
• Efficiently deliver photo department services including digital passport photo processing and promotion of related products.
• Handle customer transactions accurately involving purchases, returns, refunds, exchanges, and rain checks, adhering to cash handling protocols.
• Manage photo department inventory by monitoring supply levels, keeping accurate records, and aligning stock with forecasted demand over a three-week period.
• Process and fulfill photo orders from various channels with accuracy and timeliness to enhance customer experience.
• Provide customer support for auxiliary services like FedEx and Western Union in line with policy compliance.
• Maintain photo equipment and utilize store technologies to support day-to-day operations and troubleshoot problems effectively.
• Ensure the photo department remains clean, organized, safe, and well-merchandised, contributing positively to overall store presentation.
• Support merchandising and promotional setups in photo and adjacent departments, including seasonal displays and inventory resets.
• Assist in cross-training store staff on photo operations to ensure coverage during absences.
• Follow company policies related to asset protection, safety, and regulatory standards to maintain a secure environment.
• Work collaboratively with team members and assist with additional duties as assigned to support organizational goals.
• Participate in training sessions and complete required e-learning modules as directed by management.

Qualifications

• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required except in Puerto Rico.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Preferred candidates have at least six months of retail experience and prior employment with Walgreens is advantageous.

Salary
