Phlebotomist / Sample Collection Executive

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and responsible Phlebotomist to join our Thyrocare diagnostic centre located in Kalinga Nagar, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The role involves safely and accurately collecting blood and other diagnostic samples both at the centre and during home visits within the assigned area.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect blood and related diagnostic samples professionally and safely.
• Ensure polite and comforting interactions with patients during sample collection.
• Perform home sample collections in the designated localities when required.
• Accurately label, handle, store, and transport samples according to protocols.
• Adhere strictly to hygiene, safety, and infection control measures.
• Maintain precise records for patients and samples collected.
• Coordinate with the diagnostic centre team to ensure timely processing and dispatch of samples.
• Keep the phlebotomy area clean and hygienic at all times.
• Handle patients of varied age groups with professionalism.
• Follow all of Thyrocare's established standards for sample collection and quality assurance.

Requirements

• Preferred educational qualification: Diploma or Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT/BMLT) or certification in Phlebotomy.
• Fresh candidates with appropriate phlebotomy training are encouraged to apply.
• Competent skills in blood collection and venipuncture techniques.
• Good communication skills and ability to manage patient interactions effectively.
• Possession of a two-wheeler and a valid driving license is preferred for home sample collection duties.
• Familiarity with Bhubaneswar and Kalinga Nagar localities is advantageous.
• Punctuality, responsibility, and neat personal grooming are required.
