Phlebotomist

Overview

King's College Hospital London Dubai is looking for a committed and compassionate Phlebotomist to join their Laboratory team. This role focuses on conducting specimen collections with accuracy and care, ensuring a positive experience for patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform blood and other specimen collection from patients across all age groups employing correct techniques.
• Confirm patient identities and guarantee that specimens are properly labeled.
• Verify that patients have completed any necessary preparatory steps before sample collection.
• Maintain patient comfort and safety while upholding professionalism throughout the procedure.
• Carefully record specimen collection details and ensure prompt transport to the laboratory.
• Strictly follow protocols related to infection control, patient safety, and quality standards.
• Work collaboratively with laboratory personnel, nursing staff, and physicians.

Job Requirements

• Possession of a valid Dubai Health Authority (DHA) license as a Phlebotomist or Medical Laboratory Technologist/Technician.
• Holding a Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences or a related healthcare field.
• At least two years of hands-on experience in phlebotomy, ideally in hospital or clinical environments.
• In-depth understanding of specimen collection methods and infection prevention procedures.
• Strong communication abilities and excellent patient care skills.
• Competency in using healthcare management software and basic Microsoft Office tools.
