Company Overview

Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) leads the sustainment and support for the AH-64E Apache attack helicopter, underpinning a critical combat capability for the Australian Defence Force (ADF). The AH-64E provides precision strike, armed reconnaissance, and close air support, enhancing interoperability with coalition forces and supporting national land and joint operations.

Role Summary

The Phase Line Maintenance Controller plays a key role within the Apache sustainment team, overseeing maintenance planning and documentation to ensure operational readiness of the fleet. This position works hands-on with complex aircraft systems and coordinates multi-disciplinary activities affecting maintenance, systems engineering, supply, and testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain accurate maintenance planning and data integrity within the Apache maintenance organisation.
  • Handle the archiving of Aircraft Maintenance Documentation (AMD).
  • Assist in creating detailed work packages tailored to maintenance tasks, accounting for aircraft ground time, task complexity, and available resources.
  • Develop clear statements of work for all scheduled maintenance activities.
  • Adjust maintenance schedules in response to operational needs and events.
  • Participate in maintenance planning briefings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to ongoing Internal Quality Auditing processes to assure compliance and standards.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum of two years’ experience working with AMD systems such as Aircraft Notebook or CAMM2.
  • Possession of Apache Data Manager qualifications.
  • Previous work experience in aircraft trades.
  • Must meet Australian Defence security clearance and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) compliance.
  • Australian citizenship is mandatory to satisfy defence security requirements.

Work Location

This role is based in Townsville, Queensland, Australia and requires onsite presence.
