Pharmacy Technician

About the Role

PharmaConex is recruiting a Pharmacy Technician for a reputable independent pharmacy located in Castlebar, County Mayo. This is a permanent full-time position offering 40 hours per week over 5 days, with alternating Saturdays. The pharmacy operates with the McLernons system and provides a welcoming and professional environment where you will work alongside another qualified Pharmacy Technician. A competitive salary package is available and will be determined according to experience. The ideal candidate can start as soon as possible, although the pharmacy is willing to wait for the right fit.

Main Responsibilities

• Providing guidance to customers regarding their medications.
• Supporting activities within the dispensary.
• Managing the inventory of dispensary stock efficiently.
• Engaging customers with product sales by utilizing comprehensive product knowledge.
• Handling customer queries related to medication.
• Ensuring exceptional accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of the IPU Pharmacy Technician course certification or an equivalent recognized qualification is preferred.
• Prior experience in a dispensary setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Experience in Irish retail pharmacy is considered beneficial.
• Strong understanding of pharmacy products is essential.
• A motivated and diligent approach to work is required.
